National Federation
About the federation
The Swedish Poker Federation (Svenska Pokerförbundet) was founded on May 17, 2004, as a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting poker in Sweden. Since 2006, it has been responsible for organizing and sanctioning the Swedish Poker Championship (Poker-SM), one of Europe's oldest poker championships.
Its mission is to foster the growth of poker in Sweden by supporting the poker community, promoting responsible play, representing players' interests, and encouraging a fair and informed dialogue about the game. As a member-driven organization, the federation reinvests all of its resources into strengthening and developing the Swedish poker community.
