The 2023 edition of the tournament directors congress took place on July 17th in São Paulo and brought together almost 200 professionals from different countries in an open forum to discuss the rules of poker tournaments.
On July 17, 2023, another meeting of the Association of Poker Tournament Directors (ADTP) was held in São Paulo. The event, which aims to discuss and standardize the rules of poker tournaments throughout Latin America, took place at the WTC Sheraton and was a great success.
Devanir Campos, one of the creators of ADTP celebrates the result of this edition: “We are very happy with the number of participants. The biggest edition to date had 130 participants. In this one, we opened 160 spaces, they were full, we were able to accommodate about 30 more people, so it was close to 200.”
The aim was to discuss and standardize the rules of poker tournaments throughout Latin America, following the standards of the TDA (Tournament Directors’ Association), presenting the latest trends in the industry and serving as a debate forum for those present.
The ADTP conference serves as a unique platform for networking, knowledge exchange and collaboration within the poker community. The conference featured a series of interactive discussions, covering topics such as best practices in tournament management, operations, enhancing the player experience, responsible gaming and technology integration in the poker industry.
Participants gained valuable knowledge, insights and practical strategies that can be applied in their respective roles. In addition to educational sessions, the annual ADTP conference offered numerous networking opportunities.
