The Ukrainian Federation of Sports Poker (VUFSP) was established in 2014 and gained All-Ukrainian status in 2015. In 2017, it  began organizing national championships and cups. The following year, the Ministry of Youth and Sports recognized sports poker, and VUFSP secured National Federation status. In 2019, Ukraine’s national team debuted in the Nations Cup of Sports Poker and won. By 2020, the country hosted championships, cups, and international poker series.
