Italian Poker Federation (FIGP)

About FIGP

The Italian Poker Federation (FIGP) was founded on July 5, 2006, in Udine by Claudio Pagano and Isidoro Alampi, with the aim of promoting sports poker in Italy. Since then, it has been consolidating a structured, non-profit movement through the aggregation of clubs and specialized committees focused on regulations, events, memberships, and championships, as well as the training of dealers and tournament directors.

In 2013, FIGP took a decisive step by initiating the recognition process with CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) and joining the World Poker Federation. Headquartered in Rome and led by Dr. Isidoro Alampi, the federation operates with an organized regional presence, promoting poker as a serious and regulated sport discipline.
