Alberoni “Bill” Castro leads the Sports area of the World Poker Federation, overseeing the development of WPF’s competitive structure and sporting standards at an international level.
At WPF, Bill plays a central role in the standardization of poker regulations and competitive frameworks across affiliated federations. His work supports the creation of unified rules, technical alignment and consistent tournament structures, reinforcing WPF’s commitment to integrity, organization and global cohesion within the sport.
Bill is a member of the Associação de Diretores de Torneios de Poker (ADTP), a key technical body in tournament direction and regulatory discussion. His involvement in ADTP strengthens his contribution to WPF’s regulatory efforts, bringing practical expertise and technical depth to the Federation’s mission of harmonizing competitive standards worldwide.
He is also the current President of the Confederação Brasileira de Texas Hold’em (CBTH), continuing his leadership within national poker governance. His experience at the helm of a national confederation reinforces WPF’s ability to align sporting standards from the national level to the global stage.
Through his work in both governance and technical regulation, Bill contributes directly to WPF’s mission to fight for poker by strengthening its competitive integrity and ensuring that the game operates under clear, professional and internationally consistent standards.
