The Recap
On July 21st, the World Poker Federation (WPF) and the Tournament Directors Association (TDA) hosted the TDA + WPF Continental Summit: Asia Edition at Taiwan’s Asia Poker Arena, in partnership with the Asian Poker Sports Association (APSA).
More than 70 tournament directors, industry leaders, and local experts from across Asia gathered for a full day of open debate, rule analysis, and collaborative problem-solving. All aimed at aligning procedures and elevating the live poker experience across the region.
Over 25 key topics were discussed, including shot clocks, disruptive behavior, re-entry formats, electronic devices at the table, and late registration. Each issue was addressed with regional insight and global context, bridging the gap between local realities and international standards.
The event was streamed live to a global audience, peaking at more than 1,300 viewers, a clear sign of the poker community’s appetite for connection, knowledge, and unified practices.
This was more than just a meeting, it was a turning point for poker in the region.
