The Brazilian Confederation of Texas Hold’em (CBTH) has announced a new strategic partnership with CodigoPoker Brasil, which now becomes the official media outlet of the organization. The agreement represents a significant step in strengthening CBTH’s institutional communication and expanding the coverage of poker across the country.
CodigoPoker is recognized as the largest poker platform in Latin America. With a strong presence in the region, it now also operates with a dedicated focus on the Brazilian market through CodigoPoker Brasil. The portal specializes in live tournament coverage, news, interviews, and educational content, and stands today as one of the main communication platforms for poker on the continent.
According to CBTH’s acting president, Alberoni Castro, the partnership marks important progress for poker as a mind sport in Brazil:
“It is a great pleasure to sign this partnership with a company that has such a strong name and experience in the Latin American poker market. For this new chapter at CBTH, having this support means taking poker, the federations, and our institutional efforts even further, with more organization and quality. Without a doubt, this is one of the greatest victories for Brazilian poker. We are confident that this will be a long-lasting and very successful partnership,” he stated.
The partnership will give CBTH’s 25 affiliated federations more visibility for their events, directly contributing to the growth and strengthening of poker throughout Brazil. CodigoPoker Brasil will highlight regional competitions, athletes, and institutional initiatives that support the development of poker as a mind sport in the country.
For Gastón Katzman, founder and director of CodigoPoker, and Marcelo Souza, editor-in-chief of CodigoPoker Brasil, the agreement also marks an important collaboration:
“CodigoPoker always seeks to work with the best, and CBTH is one of the most respected poker institutions in the world. I am certain this will be a mutually beneficial relationship,” said Gastón.
“We are committed to helping CBTH offer more structure and visibility to Brazilian poker. In the end, poker itself is what benefits the most,” added Marcelo.
The first joint activation under this partnership already has a confirmed date. On July 20, 21, and 22, during the BSOP Winter Millions, CodigoPoker Brasil will provide live coverage and on-site reporting of the CBPE – Brazilian Team Poker Championship – highlighting all competition details, teams, and confirmed results.
