The Norwegian Poker Association is an association that will work for the best interests of Norwegian poker players.

The association was founded on March 22, 2013.

The board consists of a handful of people who are passionate about poker being regulated as a mental sport, not a random game of luck. We are working to get a change in the law so that we can practice our sport legally in Norway every day of the year – and not just during the Norwegian Poker Championship.

Our vision

• The Norwegian Poker Association wants all Norwegians to be able to play poker in a safe environment and for poker to be recognized as a mental sport.

Our goals

• Influence to achieve a political change within the upcoming parliamentary term (2025 – 2029) regarding the gaming license model
• Influence to achieve a political change within the upcoming parliamentary term (2025 – 2029) regarding poker clubs and their legalization
• Influence to achieve a political change within the upcoming parliamentary term (2025 – 2029) regarding home team poker legislation
• All poker players should be members of the association, and feel looked after by the Norwegian Poker Association.
