Founded in 2024, the Cape Town Poker Sports Association is the first formalised poker sports body in South Africa. We are an active member of the Cape Town Sports Council, and the World Poker Federation.

It is host to 5 clubs in Cape Town, where over 800 players compete on a monthly basis.

The Cape Town Poker Sports Association’s mission to create a responsible, enjoyable and safe platform for players to compete in poker events at club level, while supporting clubs to ensure quality service and viability.

With hopes of extending its reach to other major cities in South Africa, we hope to evolve into a national body and a continental body in the near future.
