Doch sein fr\u00fches Leben war auch von Unsicherheit gepr\u00e4gt: Sein Vater starb, als er 13 war, und seine Mutter litt an einer chronischen Krankheit, sodass er schon in jungen Jahren weitgehend auf sich allein gestellt war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sp\u00e4ter heiratete Ungar <strong>Madeline Wheeler<\/strong>, und sie hatten eine Tochter, <strong>Stefanie<\/strong>Er adoptierte auch Madelines Sohn aus einer fr\u00fcheren Beziehung. Trotz seiner Liebe zu seinen Kindern belasteten Ungars K\u00e4mpfe mit Drogensucht und Spielschulden seine Familie oft. Seine Beziehungen waren sowohl von Zuneigung als auch von Unbest\u00e4ndigkeit gepr\u00e4gt und spiegelten die Dualit\u00e4t seines Charakters wider: hochintelligent und zutiefst verst\u00f6rt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ungars Privatleben geriet in den 1990er Jahren zunehmend ins Chaos.
